Here is the video game “TacOps 4”! Released in 2002 on Windows, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's a strategy and simulation game, set in a wargame theme and it was released on Mac as well.

This is one of the most hardcore land warfare simulation game I've ever seen (haven't played Point of Attack though). Please note even famed Command: Modern Operations which is mainly focused on air/naval combat, does not have such a realistic land warfare model.
Pity that game lacks true scenario editor with customizable objective/computer actions, and no longer updated.
Although Battlefront.com no longer supports TacOps, Patch v4.06AH is still available here: https://archive.org/details/tacops_406ahu_202310
