Best way to do this is mount the game iso, whichever way you do this. Download the gpl installer at the top and start the installer. The latter should recognise your mounted iso. If not you need to solve that first. Then let the installer install your game from the iso. Don't install directly from the mounted iso.
Also the installer installs all the updates you need to run the game.

Its 2023 and the modding community is still very active just kinda slow. SRMZ has sadly ceased but there are new Forms and sites for getting this game working.

The 60 FPS patch cannot be downloaded because the site looks private, it doesn't have a permission with this file, it was only available in this site: http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4402.

You should always use Daemon Tools when using disk images for Windows Games, For Dos Games try the frontend DBGL and use that to mount images. If they have CD music, always make sure that the drive letter is lower than any of your CDROMS & DVD Players, or you won't hear any music.

It's a headache to get this game to work. I got to install it with the gpl installer and it changes resolution and blocks the computer in Win 7. In another partition I have with Win XP, it opens but the screen flashes in no good way for the monitor. I don't understand how it's so complicate to get this game to run when most abandonware run in Windows 7. This one has several patches and mods for different computer specifications, and your computer suffers from having to reset it with each test you do.

For those who are having "This is not a valid CD" problem:
1. Download the iso file.
2. Mount the iso file (with WinCDEmu).
3. Download GPLPS Installer from the link in the description.
4. Run GPLPS Installer and select the mounted iso as source.
5. Install.

Mounted the English iso with WinCDEmu and started the installer. "This is not a valid CD."

One of the best simracing games, made by Papyrus with a great multiplayer engine up to 20 players in the race. There's only one thing you need - the wheel. Playing with the keyboard is possible you only get frustrated and you'll end on the first corner ;)

you silly. what you need to do is mount the game onto a virtual disk (use magiciso) and then your computer can play it as though there was a disk inserted

Yes, there is a workaround. Download a free copy of FANTOM CD. Install it, reboot. Click OPEN on the Fantom CD program and point it to the ISO of GPL. Mount the image and reinstall the program from there.

One of the funniest racing games I've ever played. Infinite mods of real and fictional tracks, or complete seasons of F1 with its teams, drivers and all this stuff. Even without that the base game is awesome
