It's a great tinkering experience, both for the game aspect itself and the decision you have to make for which version to take (plus all the hassle to be done). From my experience, here's the summary:

1. If you take the Full RIP _inmm.dll, you get the game with functioning audio. But you couldn't hear any SFX because that folder got compromised. Plus, it's stuck 1.01. To fix the compromised "sound" folder, you have to download ISO version and copy the folder inside, put it into your RIP version to make the entire sound functional. It disable the intro of Red Storm automatically.

2. If you take the ISO version, you get the game with functioning SFX. But your main menu and graph viewing (yes, there's an audio if you open that graph section), will turned into a f-kin graveyard. It's total silence. Plus, you have to do the step that advised by FHAXARIS. On the bright side, you could update the game with 1.10 patch that main affect multiplayer that already dead long before Osama commit crimes.

To put it short:
Whatever version you pick, if you hit that "alt+tab" buttons, your screen will turned white when you return to the game. To fix it, you have to use DgVoodoo2. The effort was worth it because the game was addictive enough if you're a big fan of Wall $treet Raider. The AI was challenging and any small mistake really affect your gameplay.

Tips:
Get the manual and guide, otherwise, you will understand nothing since the game don't even have proper tutorial.

Just give it a shot first. It's totally addictive and recommended for both fans of Tom Clancy's franchise and managerial game with cyberpunk vibes.

Download the ISO version and mount it yourself, the other versions are outdated and have various bugs, including one where the new ticker displays the incorrect information (very annoying!). If you want to make a portable copy, copy the disk into the main folder and chance the path in system.cfg to something like "./Disk"

I hope that USER can tell me how they got this running on Linux because I am struggling. Heroic, Steam, and Lutris (using Wine) do not want to run this game.

@bababoi if you download the ISO version of the game and mount the ISO then the game will play just fine. I have it working in wine on linux with the iso mounted.
