I remember playing this game all day long during the winter holidays back in 2006, loved the cold dark atmosphere in the streets of New York.
Unfortunately this version doesn't work as it should. It runs well but there are horrible game breaking bugs early in the game, i couldn't even finish the tutorial level. The game needs to be played at 30fps via rivatunner, otherwise even bigger bugs start to appear, like super-fast character animations or your weapons start shooting uncontrollably. No way to play this game normally on modern systems.
Hoping in a release of remaster in the future.

Just finished the game including all the street races. 10/10 It's jaw dropping the amount the content they put in this game for a ps2 disk format, it's basically a GTA IV of the ps2 era.

This is an iso file, meaning it needs to be mounted on a virtual drive, youll need these programs alcohol 120 and winrar. download the iso, extract to desktop, download crack, extract to desktop, move NO CD crack over into the extracted true crime file and click move and replace. Then open alcohol 120 and right click on the virtual drive, click import mount or mount file, the find your true crime iso and mount it. then open your true crime folder and run the set up. youre cracked and ready.

Excuse me. Why is this game performing poorly in my laptop(10200h+1650) and It refuses to use my 1650even though i forced the game.exe to perform on my 1650 with windows settings and nvidia settings?

Protip: If you've properly installed the game, copied the NoCD crack into the install directory, and made sure the file REPLACES the already existing file with the same name, but the game still won't work, you might also need to rename the install directory to "True CrimeR New York City." The crack doesn't play well with the "®" symbol.

Works great, download the game file, extract it with winrar, mount using power ISO or daemon tools, install. Then download the NOCD file, copy and paste into the installed directory and you're golden. Its working both with Windows 10 and 7 64bit

That's why there's usually always a "NoCD" crack/patch, either under the iso download or on gamecopyworld.com ;)

Hey guys i downloaded it and aparently everytime i want to start it it shows a window where it tells me to put in a disc lol
i already mounted it in deamon tools
