I thought that the PC-88 screenshots looked better, until I enlarged them and my retina's were blasted into space by the black-and-white checkerboard pixel graphics.

This game has been burned into my memory for decades...just now found it. (I have long mis-remembered it as Escape from Kabul). Until this title I'd played Scott Adams adventure games and a handful of vector graphics games like Wizardry and such. My point being, I cannot ever forget the moment I sat in the first room of this game with a couple friends in chairs beside me, typing in "look bed", "go west" etc......and then suddenly a mouse moved....MOVED I TELL YOU!!!.....across the screen! We were dumbfounded, frozen like deer in headlights. Nothing for us before then had ever moved on it's own, by itself on a screen-shot in a game. When we discovered that much of the game involved quickly typing a command and then waiting for the right moment to hit ENTER in order to jump, etc. Well...that was the very beginning, the Genesis of what would become all other action games. It began here. With this. So far as the prophets can recall.
