Ah yes, the "sequel" to Behind the Magic. Sadly it's nowhere near as in-depth or complex as its predecessor. But I can understand why, since this came out when Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace was basically brand new. So brand new that most of the tie-in material for it wasn't even out yet.

As a result, the Expanded Universe section (which was easily my favorite part of its predecessor) feels very barebones and unfinished compared to BTM's. For example, a lot of entries are missing images and it only covers the first two Jedi Apprentice books and doesn't give either of them a proper summary. It almost makes you wish they either waited until 2000 or 2001 so they'd have more material to include, or simply released an updated version of Behind the Magic that included more content from Episode I.

It's still not bad. There's a lot of interesting material based on the movie itself and it's worth checking out. Just manage your expectations. Think of it as Behind the Magic 1.5 instead of Behind the Magic 2, and you'll be fine.
