This game would lag my computer back in the day but I still played the heck out of that demo

I have the game installed, but it still asks me to install DirectX 6.1 every time I click "play" and refuses to launch the game.

I have downloaded the ISO and mounted, installed the game but when I launch, it says that the game has not been fully installed. Want to play so bad!

To play this game, just mount the most recent ISO download, use the launcher that is on the CD and install from there. You need to instal QT4. After that it will play with no issues. Just tried it myself on Win10.

Hello everyone, can I get some help? I'm trying to install, but can't succeed. If I click on the setup file in the Lucas learning folder → Pit droids, it just doesn't do anything. If I click on the launch file and click Install Star Wars pit droids, it also doesn't do anything. I've tried playing around with administrator access as well as compatibility modes, but nothing helps

If anyone is still having trouble with install because ‘insert disc’ error, copy iso to your desktop, right click, open as, windows explorer. This will mount the iso so that the file opens as a disc.

Yeah Launch.exe and more seems to be missing from the ISO. I dowloaded the iso from https://abandonwaregames.net/game/star-wars-pit-droids and it worked fine.

ISO is damaged. I donwloaded it from some ther site and it works swell.
Very good logical game.
They should make a port for Android.

If you copy everything in the download to a folder called "Pit Droids", and in that folder manually create a file called Launch.exe, the game will install. The game won't run for me without the CD though so not sure how to fix that one :(

I played this on mac. A lot. Thank you for reminding me of it and giving me another chance to play.

It seems to be searching for a file that doesn't exist.
It says it wants "launch.exe" located somewhere on the disc, but a quick search reveals there is no file by that name.

I LOVED THIS GAME AS A KID! I used to borrow it from the library all the time! :D

I got a Win XP (mode) VM running on virtualbox. And I got the installation process started. but about halfway through I get an error about something with the file Launch.exe

I get the same error about the launcher file whether I install it on Windows 10 or a Win 98 VM. The file is bugged.

Because it needs to be run on the correct OS, Win10 is not the correct OS. Check out a Windows 98 or XP VM.
