DOS - 1995
Description of Highway Hunter
The spiritual precursor to Safari's more famous shooter Tyrian, Highway Hunter is an addictive, knuckle-blistering shooter from obscure Russian developer Omega Integral Systems (OIS).
The game puts you in control of an armed-to-the-hilt car instead of the more common spaceship. The gameplay is straightforward shooting mayhem: kill everything in sight and collect power-ups to prepare for the end-level boss. A wide variety of power-ups, enemies, and levels makes this a must-play for all shooter fans. Recommended, and also check out Highway Fighter, the 1993 spiritual "prequel" that is even more obscure than this game.

Highway Hunter - futuristic arcade racing with the top view. Driving a miracle machine, shooting before yourself, you have to break through hordes of enemies, collecting bonuses along the way. Gradually machine becomes armed to the teeth, but.. before the first collision. In the game, nice graphics and a great soundtrack, before the beginning of each level is shown interesting ролик.
