This is a lot more Resident Evil/Devil May Cry than Silent Hill. Anyone that says otherwise hasn't played the game.

So, I would love to play this game, because it looks really promising, but how in the world are you suppose to survive when you can't dodge, or aim down at those crawling creatures? also you have to slowly rotate the character, because he can't just look back. Am I missing something, or is this just run rotate shoot run rotate shoot run rotate shoot?

Absolutely awful game lacking not only acceptable storyline, useable translations or technical stability but also playability.
Playability issues are like many resident evil alikes as cameras are fixed and not controllable with absolutely awful angles while players movement is relational to camera view.
Add the occasional out of view monster/attack to this experience and consider yourself lucky if the game does not crash every few minutes, at least concerning the original game and its cumbersome and invasive copy protection.

Works OK with XP combatibility.
If you get a black screen when launching the game be sure DEP is marked for the exes.
