This game is a riot. Truly, an old school Masterpiece whether you're a chess fan or not.
If not, I can't think of a more entertaining way to learn. Watch out though, HAL is a little sketchy.

OMG, this game is hilarious! The game talks to you like it's HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and trash talks you in a very calm manner. Unfortunately it taught my 5-year-old daughter, who was sitting on my lap watching me play, the word "sucks" after it said, "Dan, that move sucks" when I took its queen. I think I'm going to get a lot of enjoyment out of this game as long as I don't play it with the kids around.

Nobody has commented on this yet?!
it is hilarious! And it will cheat on you if you let it.
Funny story, the chess computer thinks its HAL and it got fried when it played a game of chess with Dan Quail. It will talk trash to you. One day it said (in that slow HAL voice) "Dan... Last night, I did your wife" I was laughing so hard it cheated on me and I missed it. Never could get it to say that comment again.
