It worked great on my Windows XP:

Ddr2 4gb (2x2gb) 667 Mhz;
Intel Pentium 4 3.4ghz/2mb/800mhz/775 Mod 651;
Geforce 9800 Gtx 512mb 256 Bits;

But the framerate was too low, 5 frames per second on my Windows 98:

2x Edge Dimm 256 Mb 133 MHz;
Geforce Fx 5500 256mb Agp;
Intel Pentium iii 1.0 Ghz 133 Mhz Fsb Socket 370;

Looking at the requirements, I really don't know why my Windows 98 couldn't handle it...

Installed on Win7 x86, using "fixed" exe. Tried compatibility modes for Win95, Win2000, WinXP; tried affinity for single core and multicore. All I get is a black screen with hourglass cursor (which will move) and about thirty seconds of music, then nothing; go to Task Manager, game is "not responding".

Have been running this on a Virtual drive. In win xp on compatibility. Mode win 2000 for all spirit of speed exe's. installed it useing magicdisc and used the the nocd patch v1013.have had little or no problems
With it.. sound is good.. what there is of it and graphics are smooth and clear even with 10 cars on the track.love the era starting at the start then its out into the countryside for a a 10lap race. nice to see monza as it was in 1937 with its high banking corner 15 cars 9 tracks i think the cars take some damage as i was on my last lap in the lead when the car suddenly slowed and stoped...due to over heating.sceen rez is 800x800 i know there is a patch to increase this as well a some car mods but can't find the patch the 1930s music is a nice touch. when the game is all patched start the game from were you installed it on You're hardrive NOT the Virtual drive

Sorry, but its'not broken. The Copyprotection is still alive and prveventing the game from starting. You'll need the NoCD-Fix to run the Game.

its broken, very unusable. I downloaded 2 completely different broken files from this website 0/10 if you can fix it, please do, I don't expect anyone to fix it or even respond, since these things usually go unfixed for me, but I'll try again and see what happens
