Description of Action Sports Soccer
Designer of excellent sport simulations broke the mold with this rare arcade-oriented soccer game. Choose among many European teams and compete in well-known events such as the UEFA Cup. The game offers standard options such as choosing formation and substitute, but as an arcade-oriented game it falls short of its competition. Good for a quick diversion only.

This game is quite mediocre and very easy to win... It is not that fun, the gameplay is also not as good but it is good to play it if you like to win glorious trophies like Champions League, European Super Cup or Intercontinental Cup (today's Club World Cup) !! For those who really know about retro soccer games, this game is also known as : European Soccer Challenge (Atari Lynx), European Club Soccer (Sega Megadrive/Genesis), World Trophy Soccer (Super Nintendo), Manchester United Europe (Amiga, Dos) and J. League Champion Soccer (Sega Megadrive/Genesis). So much different console versions for such a mediocre soccer video game, strange huh ??? ! :O :D

This is just Manchester United Europe under another name. It was known as European Club Soccer on Megadrive (Genesis) too.

DosBox 0.74 + Win7 (64bit) - Works Fine (I slowed down the game a little using the DosBox special keypress CNTL+11 because the soccer dudes were all like the FLASH fasting running superhero from Marvel comics until I did.)
There are many options and things getting into a game - team, game circuit etc. A lot actually. But when I tried playing the game - it seemed to be in demo mode or something because it didn't seem like anything I did interfered with the computer's desire to play with itself! :) lol
Decent retro graphics, nice icon based menus, game play? I have yet to figure out exactly how you play on the field. Maybe I had Computer vs. Computer going... I dunno - this game has enough quality that I'm sure I take it for another spin to see if I can get the hang of it. I sure hope its not a fancy MANAGER SIM and you just watch the teams play themselves! LOL - B^)
