About the bug at a certain level of career - yes there are errors like that in the k-tech games. Luckily it is easy to cheat and bypass the buggy race (or any race if you need to) All k-tech games keep track of your progress by record in the windows registry.
Open regedit tool (click on start then "run" and type regedit and click ok
Registry editor should start. Click on "Edit" then on "Find" and type mlab and click on "Find next"
You should see registry folder named mlab. Usually if you started the game as admin it is in
hkey_local_machine-software-wow6432node-mlab
Inside mlab folder there is a folder trabant (and other folders too if you have other k-tech games installed)
If you click on the trabant folder you'll see a list of registry keys on the right
Scroll down to "CurrentEvent", right click on it and choose "modify"
Then click on "decimal" and you'll see something like "Value Data: 13" (number varies, it shows what is the level you are on at the moment)
If you want to skip the current race just change the number adding 1 - in this example change 13 to 14 then click ok and close the registry editor
Next time you start the game you'll be one level up - e. g. if you were on race 13 before the reg. editing, now after that you'll be on race 14 and so on.

When I think about playing this game I usually refer it as "the calmest racing game". The reason behind that is the barely competitive atmosphere in this game. You race a couple of tracks (30 for the career total) and each of them consisting of 3 laps and some opponents. Some track layouts get trickier as you progress. But still, the soft engine sounds of the Trabants and calm high tempo music make you feel not pushed to keep winning. In fact, the game isn't that hard also. I never heard of this game and basically stumbled upon it through this website. Its a fun racing game actually and the graphics were good for the time. I ran it on Windows 7 and was playable right out of the box. Biggest problem (after I played for a while) was figuring out that at Level 21 in the career mode gives you an error: "memory access violation". I thought it was because of the long run of races I did in a row, but after that I lost the entire save game. So basically it was time to let it go. Decent game if you want to relax, as I said.

Ok, I found them. This is probably the full K-tech game collection. Most of the games are in Polish, some are in English.
