Jigsaw puzzles are puzzle games where the player has to assemble an image from several component pieces by dragging and dropping them into place. Not to be confused with some Tile matching puzzle games where the player has to unscramble an image by swapping the positions of two pieces at a time or sliding them around a fixed board. In jigsaw puzzles, the player can move any of the pieces freely. The pieces themselves do not need to resemble physical jigsaw puzzle pieces in order for a game to count as a jigsaw puzzle game; all that matters is that an image must be assembled from pieces that can be freely moved around.
