OMG...so I tried everything (for years) to run this game without it rebooting and crashing every time I launched the game. I literally tried different computers, windows versions, directX versions, DXWnd application, virtual box etc.
ONLY THING THAT WORKED:
1) Downloaded game files from this page (all four .ISO files)
2) Used PowerISO program to MOUNT install discs and installed the game (CD1, CD2, CD3)
3) Then mounted CD4 to "CD drive (D:)"
4) Downloaded dgVoodoo2 application from the web.
5) Then copyied all four ".dll" files from dgVoodoo2 folder (dgVoodoo86_1\MS\x86) named "D3D8.dll", "D3D9.dll", "D3DImm.dll" and "DDraw.dll" to my Another War game folder where the game EXE file is (C:\Program Files (x86)\Mirage Interactive\Another War)
6) Had to make an exeption and whitelist the dgVoodoo2 launcher on my anti virus program (depends on which program you use)
7) Launched dgVoodoo2, under DirectX tab uncheck the "watermark" option so it would not show on the game screen afterwards and then closed the application.
8) Right-clicked on "Another War.exe" and set it to be compatible with windows XP repack 3 and "run as administrator".
9) Launched the game from the EXE file and almost cried of joy.
dgVoodoo2 is the only program that has helped me to launch the game smoothly because it is meant for directX API problems. I am pretty sure my instructions work on any modern computer.
Enjoy!

I wish I had read @Sakhay's comment before try to install this! I had the same experience, tried installing the game but my computer entered an ENDLESS rebooting loop and then just crashed. I had to wipe the drive and re-install everything from one of my backups (thankfully I had just recently backed up).
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

One of my all time favorite games - Diablo in WW2 setting.
Still have the original 4 CD-s, but unfortunately cannot make this game work anymore. Keeps rebooting the computer every time I run the game.

Can approve that using wrapper helps to bypass some game's issues mostly based on engine's imcompatibility with modern systems. Implemented DGVoodoo, and now everything is working like a charm.

I had the same issue with my machine rebooting Windows after loading the game. Setting compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2 seems to have fixed the issue for me.

Okay so Installshield error 432 can be bypassed by deleting IsUninst.exe from the C:\Windows directory allowing you to install the game but is anyone else having the issue where trying to run the game resets your pc on Win 10? I've managed to play for an hour then quit and now every time i try to launch the game my pc resets.
