I think the original Gunship 1986 is the best sim ever. It’s the one that started it all.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it a flightsim. It's more of an arcade, really. However, the thrill of NoE flight was made available only by it, and the astounding (for the time) graphics made up for the unrealistic flight\damage model.
If you want a flightsim, Comanche 3 is your choice (ver 4 is back into the arcede territory).

Yeah, right, comanche is the best helicopter simulation game, comanche 4 is my favorite.

This is an absolutely "must have played" for every helicopter lover!

Novalogics Comanche set the standard for decades.
The gameplay is very cool.
Don´t be scared on the fact it is only a DOS-game.
The VOXEL technologie makes the game an eyecatcher and really fun to play. Never had this feeling again with any other helicopter game.
Comanche will never die!
