For those wondering why the hunt button doesn't light up in game. It's an anti-piracy measure programmed into the game. You must have the disk to play. Mounting the image as a virtual drive using WinCDEmu will work.

I downloaded power ISO but it says that I need the disk. The hunt button does not light up. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Steve Hoyland,
I still have the original CD for this game. I never had a problem with the game until now. I have used a no-cd crack in order to preserve the original CD with previous versions of Windows until I got to Windows 10. For whatever reason, despite using the no-cd crack in Windows 10, it does exactly as you describe, that being that the "Hunt" button is inoperable.
I found that no matter what, the game requires that the game disc needs to be used while playing the game. So, if you don't have the game disc, simply use Power-ISO to burn the disc image that you downloaded from here to a blank CD. I just tried it and it works perfectly.
Good luck!

Sorry to be confusing my fellow gamers once again, but further to my two previous posts, I have to mention a serious problem that's occurred.
My first attempt at loading the ISO file for this gave no problems - my 'Power ISO' program opened the file, loaded it and ran it. I was really happy to see this game on my screen after almost 20 years! I set up the game parameters, chose my weapons and equipment, and when all was ready to begin hunting, I had several goes on the shooting range and then saved my whole set-up in anticipation of beginning a new, full hunting adventure the following day.
Unfortunately, the main game simply does not work. The "HUNT" button doesn't light up or react to any clicks, so there's no way to play the game after the detailed set-up is completed. I've tried both choices - the offline version and the online version, but neither of them work. I'm devastated!
I hope our friends at MyAbandonware will be able to sort out this problem, and give gamers the opportunity to play this great game properly. I'm sure this problem can be easily solved. Thanks, guys!

I should also mention that you'll need an ISO program to install this and other similar files. I use "ISO Power", which Is free for the basic version - their are others, so I suggest you check them out for yourselves.

......by the way, the comment by YODAS is incorrect - the above link to MobyGames DOES work!
