The Ishar series is undoubtedly Silmarils' most successful games, and rightly so.
Silmarils touted Ishar I when it was released in 1992 as "a new benchmark for RPG"-- a bold statement that turns out to be quite accurate: all 3 games boast exceptional 3D graphics for their times, huge gameworld, alternate solutions to puzzles, and-- best of all-- different personalities and goals of your party members that make gameplay tenfold more colorful and fun.
Ishar III is the best of the series, combining the mundane kill-the-bad-guys-in-Ishar plot with time travel elements. Highly recommended.

In this and Ishar 2 there is a small cheat to help you out. Deposit money in the bank. Fast forward time. Claim interest. It can be helpful in the early stages just to get everyone armed with basic swords. Ishar 2 was always my favourite.

Anyone having a problem getting sound to work in DOSBox? I have it set to sound blaster IRQ 7 and DMA 1. I set it to SB in game and save setup but its got no sound.

I liked this one a little less than Ishar II. Same mechanic. Good graphics, a big world to explore and plenty of enemies to fight.
