Description of Mail Order Monsters
Here is the video game “Mail Order Monsters”! Released in 1985 on Commodore 64, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action and strategy game, set in a real-time theme and it was released on Atari 8-bit as well.

I had forgotten about this game until just now when I saw it up on here. Was a really fun game too!. Make up a monster by picking his powers and skills, design what he looks like and duke it out.. I think that was the basic gist of the game, not much more too it if I can remember, but it was a lot of fun!. I'll look forward to playing this again after so many years.

Anyone know how to get the game to recognize the game disk when it says "insert game disk" in VICE? I keep trying to reattach the disk image, but the game keeps saying "this is not the game disk".

This is one of the best games ever made hands down. Yes, ever! It was a years ahead of it's time. It had true customization of characters and was probably the first game ever to have savable character development. Had memorable music also. Played this for more hours than any other game in the 80's.

One of the creators of this game, Paul Reiche III, was also one of the co-creators of the Star Control games.
