Is anyone else having trouble with the Amiga Version? It loads up but when the match is about to start it seems to freeze up. I use the FS-UAE emulator. Is another one better to use?

So, you can't even play this. All you can do is get to a screen where it tells you to "Insert Match Disk To Continue," or something along those lines, but refuses recognize any key presses or other inputs of any kind. If you're claiming you played this particular download of the DOS version, BLACKLIGHT, then you're a straight-up liar.

This game is fun if you play two player. It's essentially "Pick a wrestling move, the game rolls some dice and applies some hidden modifiers, then plays the little slide show of the winning wrestler pulling off the move." I've seen so many videos online of people playing this, and they're all just selecting random things, and the computer beats them over and over again. And then they start claiming that the computer cheats. No one seems to be aware that 1. This is kind of like a light dice game, and 2. There actually IS a strategy to it. You discover this wile playing two players. You have to start with your less powered moves, and then, it's a push your luck kind of thing. Do you go to your more advanced and more damaging moves for the big hits, or do you stick with the small, easier to pull off moves, while taking the chance that your opponent could win a move and gain momentum. The wrestler with the momentum has a better chance of hitting moves. This game is some decent fun if you play with another person, and let the trash talking fly. It's not a great game by any sense of the word, but it's a fun time waster if you and your friend are in the mood. We used to play the hell out of this game back in the day. The real disappointment is that due to the fact that the game uses digitized images for everything, there are only two matches. Hulk Hogan vs Macho Man, and Hulk Hogan vs Paul Orndorf. They intended to make more match disks, but that never happened. Frankly, I'm surprised that no modern C64 programmer/hobbyist hasn't analyzed the code of this game, and made more match disks for it, themselves. We could probably pull it off now, in the far-flung-future of the 2000's.
