One of my favorite old games, it actually played better on old computers. Now the drug trips and flashbacks go by so fast, you don't get the full effect.

I recall this game. I played it enough that I became a Rockstar a few times. At that point the game challenges you to become a megastar, but you'll die a few turns later unless you have the non-shareware version.

I loved this game back in the DOS days. I still payed it sometimes until my OS went 64bit. Glad to find it again. Thanks for hosting.

Damn... I vaguely remembered playing this game on my family computer when I was like 14. I liked it, but never became a Rockstar. Maybe didn't do enough drugs? Anyway, I did a Google search and it lead me here 30 years later! Enjoy the ride, time here is short.

I've played this game for years. It's just one of the ultimate DOS classics in my opinion. However, I hate the developer for one reason and that is that no matter how hard you try, your character WILL become a drug addict.

This is in my opinion one of the top 10 DOS games ever. There's something about it that makes it addictive. I've been playing this game since I first discovered it back in the 90s and it still holds me attention. I love it!

I used to play this game all the time. My advice: take all the drugs offered you in the game except the heroin, and make sure to cut back on the speed and cocaine every time you get a chance. Watch your health. The game seems to have some intelligence, so come up with decent band names and songs. You can make it to the top using some names, you go nowhere using others.

In 1991 I used to play this at work while I waited for downloads at 1200 or 2400baud. The internet was mostly text through CompuServe. I downloaded this from a fido bbs using procomm+

A good sim but not much better than "Its Only Rock&Roll" for the c64.

Awesome game.Played it as a teen. Can help you with basics as to how to become a Rockstar.I have met a famous musician in my area, and he's at the biggest venues in the world. It can happen if you have key qualities.
