Download The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Windows)

The game with patch and NoCD has been tested on Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10, works with no problem. The game supports widescreen. You can also play in local cooperative for 2 players on 1 keyboard, check the game settings to see the controller layout. If you get any troubles during playthrough, check out our Notes for solution

Install & play guide (for CD version):

• Mount the disc image of CD1. You will need the utility for mounting disc image files, like WinCDEmu, UltraISO, Alcohol 52%/Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools Lite
• Launch the installation (if autorun doesn't work - simply launch the installation from Setup.exe inside the disc)
• When the installation process will ask for CD2 - mount the disc image of CD2. Do the same when the installation process will ask for next discs
• Finish the installation (skip the registration at the end)
• Also it is recommended to install DirectX 9 from the disc
• After that install the patch
• Then install NoCD (simply copy Narnia.exe from the archive and replace the original exe-file inside the game folder)
• Open the directory with the game and find Narnia.exe. Right click on Narnia.exe - Properties - Compatibility - Set "Run this app in compatibility mode with Windows XP" and "Run as administrator"
• Launch the game and play. If the game doesn't work - try to launch the game, then open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del by default) and check for processes Narnia.exe and rundll32.exe. Close Narnia.exe but don't touch rundll32.exe (it's a Windows app for running old apps from 32-bit operational systems, most old games running through rundll32.exe). Now try to launch the game again, it must work. Don't forget to close rundll32.exe process in Task Manager after finishing playing

• Mount the ISO disc image of DVD. You will need the utility for mounting disc image files, like WinCDEmu, UltraISO, Alcohol 52%/Alcohol 102% or Daemon Tools Lite
• Install the game
• Also it is recommended to install DirectX 9 from the disc
• After that install the patch
• Then install NoCD (simply copy Narnia.exe from the archive and replace the original exe-file inside the game folder)
• Open the directory with the game and find Narnia.exe. Right click on Narnia.exe - Properties - Compatibility - Set "Run this app in compatibility mode with Windows XP" and "Run as administrator"

Notes:

• NoCD is required for the launch because the game is using Securom DRM protection, which doesn't work correctly on modern systems
• If the installation doesn't start - try to launch Setup.exe in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (98, 2000 or XP)
• The game supports widescreen resolutions up to 1600x900, but you can set the higher resolution by config edit, read here how to do that. Also, you can use dgVoodoo utility
• In-game FMV cutscenes have 1280x720 resolution. We additionally uploaded the pack with AI upscaled videos in high resolution, you can download it separately. Simply copy "ntsc" folder from the archive and repace the original "ntsc" folder inside the game directory
• If you stuck at some level and can't go any further, like snowball dosen't grow up in second mission - launch the game in compatibility mode with Windows 98
• If that won't help - try to limit the game's framerate to 30 FPS, there are 2 ways to do that:
  1. Install an app that allows to limit the framerate, like RTSS or Bandicam, read this guide for framerate limit utilities
  2. If you're using dgVoodoo 2.75 or later version - open dgVoodoo.conf with Notepad and find the line FPSLimit = 0. Change "0" to "30" to limit the game's framerate to 30 FPS
• If you have troubles with launch of the game - use dgVoodoo utility, this is especially true for running the game on Windows 10. If you don't know how to use it - you can use our ready dgVoodoo config (1920x1080 resolution, forced VSync and limited to 30 FPS framerate), simply copypaste files from the archive to the directory with installed game
