The installation of the game worked and it even started running. But after creating a family and buying a house or an empty property, the family isn't there. And they are deleted, when I leave the house back to the neighborhood.
Does anybody know how I can fix it?

Para todos, após instalarem o jogo, vão até o CD1, na pasta Crack e peguem o arquivo SIMS.EXE, coloquem e substituam o arquivo na pasta do jogo (MAXIS - The Sims) ai é só abrir o jogo como Adm.
For all, after installing the game, go to the CD1, in the Crack folder and get the SIMS.EXE file, place it and replace the file in the game folder (MAXIS - The Sims) after, play the game as ADM

Got the game installed and everything, but I can't run the game. I tried running as administrator, still nothing. Help :(

hey yall, I have a copy of the complete game, (as a complete collection) with the crack and serial. I'm going to see if I can add it on the site but I've used this copy for YEARS on end when I've wanted to play so it works well

I cant get this to work. Got the game installed and everything. but when i launch the game, nothing happens. I tried running as administrator. Tried moving the .exe file from the Crack % Serial folder the main folder and it says there isnt enough space. Anyone got a fix?

If you're running into problems starting the installed game. Make sure to replace the exe file in the install directory with the .exe file in DISC1/Crack & Serial. Also use the patch inside that directory

I agree with Bella. When opening the first disk, see what drive it is on. For example, it was on drive (D:) for me. When it asked to switch to CD 2, I ejected the first CD and opened CD 2. It wasn't on (D:), though. It was on (E:). I ejected it, clicked on CD 2, then it was on (F:). I repeated these steps until it was on drive (D:), and then the application accepted it. Now it's installed! If only the game could work, now...

You don't need D-tools to mount the cds. Just double click them and windows mounts it. When you change to cd 2 it needs to be on the same letter.

Having same issue with disks. trying to learn this mounting method. What exactly do I mount to what?
Ed9191919 2022-12-28 1 point
just make sure if you are using Daemon Tools Lite to unmount the drive and remount on the Daemon Tools Lite application, as if you eject and do it via File Explorer you will not be mounting to the same drive as was Disc1 mounted on. Hope this helps, i was also stuck on the disc issue.
Also i installed the game, but cant get it to run, tried all the compatability modes, running everything as admin and countless restarts and installed the patch. Still wont run, looks like its about to start and ends, no sign in Task Manager and Event Viewer doesnt seem to want to give too much information on why the launch fails.

I can't get the game to finish installing because i don't have the physical CD's and it keeps asking for CD2, is there any way around this?

I ran the troubleshooter and then it worked fine...mostly! Anyone know how to fix the error message where the house could not be saved?

I don't have a physical CD2 for Sims 1 deluxe. The program (?) I downloaded for it, isn't loading either. What do I do?

@ENO,
I had the same problem, this is how I solved:
-Right click setup and then click properties.
-Choose compatilibity mode: Wİn XP service pack 3
-Click Run this program as an administrator
-Click OK
After that restart your PC. It should work. It worked for me.

I mounted CD1 with DAEMON Tools to install and ran Setup.exe, and it put up the message:
"Setup is having trouble shutting down the autoplay program. Please restart your computer and try again."
I'm running as administrator, I'm in Windows XP compatibility mode, and for a lark I even tried restarting. No effect. Any ideas?

For those running into insufficient memory issues, it's usually a non-issue, if you can get the game to run. That said, I also ran into the issue with not having anything happen when trying to run the game after installation in Windows 10, but I was able to get it going.
- After you install, mount the first ISO and go into the crack/serial folder.
- Copy SIMS.exe and TheSimsCreator.exe files.
- Go to the installation folder and paste these copied exe files over the installed exe files of the same name, which are in the respective subfolders within the installation directory (in Windows, it's usually \Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\Sims.exe or \The Sims Creator\TheSimsCreator.exe, unless you directed it to another location).
- Run the compatibility troubleshooter and let it choose WinXP.
- Test the program, and it should run. If it asks for privileges, say yes.
- After the successful test, make sure to set the program to run as administrator.
This is a fairly common thing that needs to be done with cracked software, I've noticed. Hope this helps! :)

To download The Sims Deluxe Edition, you need to mount CD1 using a tool like Daemon Tools. Then open "setup.exe". Follow the instructions and then it will tell you to insert CD2. Unmount CD1 and then mount CD2 and then it will continue intalling. Then right click your "sims.exe" (which is where you chose to install it). Tick, "run this program in compatibility mode for:" and "run this program as administartor." Apply then you can play, if it doesnt boot up then download a patch.

Second day attempt. I ended up burning the iso's onto DVD. Again, same thing. but it told me I was negative -532mg in memory? Finding that strange, checked info showing I have 1.6G in memory free available..
Did compatibility troubleshoot to find out that the application program is an "Incompatible Application"
I am running NT6.1 {Windows 7}.
Tried to run the program in XP, still nothing. Incompatible.
dovesxo 2019-08-08 0 point
mounted the iso's. installed fine, the autostart appeared and went to play the game. nothing.. tried several different ways, patched, reinstalled. nothing. disappointed.

Thank you for this, I've wanted to play this a few times over the years but my Disc 1 is long gone, glad I still had the case and manual with my license key on it
t593f 2019-04-02 4 points
didnt have problems installing it, but since i've got windows 10 it just doesnt work, cannot play the game really. For the second disc problem, be sure you mount it in the same drive as disc 1, after ejecting disc 1.

The second expansion, Livin' Large, was notorious for being annoying to install. Sometimes it would install, but did it wrong as if it was a stand-alone game. I remember installing all the expansions only to find out that Livin' Large somehow didn't install properly and I couldn't just re-install over, so I had to uninstall everything and then go over to the Windows registry, locate every single key and delete it from my system before being able to reinstall the game otherwise I'd get an error message.
....Maybe that's why I haven't played the first game in years

The "Disc 2" doesn't work, and you need it to install the game before you can play. You cannot manipulate files until the game is installed. I've extracted/mounted/opened archives from many programs, many times, and you just can't use the disc 2, never works! Two thumbs down! Booo!!!
