Schade, das man es nicht installieren geschweige denn spielen kann. Es ist bzw. war eines meiner LIeblingsspiele. Wäre gerade jetzt zu Weihnachten sehr schön gewesen.

Hello, it's me again. I have it working on OracleVM running Windows 98 SE
My solution:
- Install Oracle Virtual Machine
- Create a New Virtual Machine with Windows 98 (google how to or ask ChatGPT), you can find the Windows boot disk and product keys online
(My settings: 256MB of RAM, disk size 4 GB)
- Install and download drivers (Sound: Soundblaster16, Display: VBEMP for Windows 9x by bearwindows) **
- Set display resolution to 1024x768 or higher and select higher color depth (16-bit or 32-bit)
- Install Vermeer from CD **
- Have fun and play!
** Important:
To share your PC files with Windows98 Virtual Machine, you need to enter them into the 'CD-drive' of OracleVM (Settings - storage - Controller: IDE), because Windows 98 doesn't support shared folders.
For the drivers what you do is converting the folders into a .iso file (I used a programme called CDBurnerXP), then inserting them. After this you need to install the drivers from the 'CD' If you struggle, just ask ChatGPT, that's how I did it.
For Vermeer, you just select the .cue file and enter it into the CD-drive.

Did anyone get it to run? Would offer to pay for it. It is a kids memory!

Trying this possible solution out at the moment:
Download VirtualMachine, install Windows 95 and then install Vermeer within VirtualMachine.

It runs fine on Windows 7 and 10, but it has to be a 32 Bit Version. The original game was Windows 95 with 16 Bit and is completely incompatible with 64 Bit Windows Versions.
