Description of Virus
This game is the perfect answer to the question: what happens when you lock the designer of Eliteseries and future designer of Transport Tycoon in the same room?
Virus is a furious and addictive action game that, like its designers, exudes creative gameplay unlike any other game you have seen. The premise is simple: pilot a polygonal spacecraft to destroy everything in sight. Levels get difficult quickly, but the robust graphics engine borrowed from Elite Plus makes up for everything.
I recommend playing this game with a mouse, since its control method is excellent. Be warned, though: the game i is very difficult. Don't expect to finish the game unless you are very confident of your reflexes ;)
Also, check out the superior 1998 sequel V2000, also on this site.

On another note on the game, it's considerable the performance achieved on a game so small in size and for less than 50 kilobytes that this game occupies, it is impressive the smoothness in which the graphics perform. With that said it is a good time waster to vent some pent up stress on the fly. I guess it is a good game considering everything else. I just would like to be able to land somewhere without crashing or finishing up a level without running out of fuel, but I guess for 43 kilobytes the game occupies in your storage not much more could be expected.

First thing I noticed about virus is that you crash a lot lmao. I mean there's no place to land and you run out of fuel rather quickly. It's a good screen saver to leave on for when you're busy doing work but other than that it takes a lot of time investing in order to get anywhere proficient enough to even know what you're doing and more time to get close to get the hang of it to be able to get all the viruses in each level before running out of fuel and crashing. Is there anyway to even get extra lives on this game. I haven't seen anything that indicates that there is. Anyway the graphics are polygonal at best and as you master the navigational side of the game you get to see the landview of the game, other than that it's a game for those that like impossible and frustrating interaction with the game.

Played it on the Amiga when it came out. Very difficult.... Mouse seems best but it is still very hard to play.

was an advanced game (technically) for it's time when it first came out.
