I was introduced to this game while searching through games released by Softdisk Publishing. I was drawn to the crude graphics, which, while amateur, I find charming. Once I started playing the game, I got into it because I got a kick out of the cheesy sound effects (my friend says the combat sound effects sound like someone having sex).

Anyway, Jeff Kintz games all have a very crude and amateur quality to them, in terms of graphics, sound effects and gameplay, but one thing I can say is his games were very imaginative. Vor Terra is probably the most playable of his games, which can be difficult to figure out at best and unplayable at worst. It helps that Softdisk PC #127 provides a hints section that is actually a full walkthrough of the game. The most annoying thing about this game is trying to get the Kurnazame bell to appear, which is randomly found in a randomly appearing treasure chest. That right there is going to determine whether this game will take you a few minutes or a few hours to beat.

I've beaten it multiple times, because if you actually make an effort to play Jeff's games while mapping out the world and writing down important tidbits as you go, they're not as complex or difficult as people make them out to be. I guess people just can't be bothered to actually play the game beyond blindly wandering around and hoping to make progress without any thought or strategy.

Overall, Vor Terra isn't too bad once you get the hang of it, but I wouldn't recommend it to the average person. The graphics are cheesy yet charming, and the sound effects are good for a laugh.
