I had the dubious pleasure of debugging and otherwise cleaning up the Vic-20 version of this game before its release. The main things I remember were giving the map a black background - it was some shocking blue colour that hurt my eyes previously - and adding a horribly out of tune rendition of Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles that played when the Graf Spee was sunk (the Vic-20 sound chip was naturally tempered and sounded awful in any key other than C). Great to see that the later versions have been preserved though!
