How to play Asterix - Searching for the Black Gold Windows
User Gho Tik managed to get the screenshots:
Apparently, this game is a collection of minigames. It has a Win16/DOS installer and game frontend that I couldn't run (not even with NTLEAS support), but the minigames instead are independent Win32 programs that I could run individually through DxWnd support, so I was able to capture some screenshots from different individual gaming sessions.
BTW all games seemed playable (maybe after some Dutch language lessons ...) but the boar hunt that was running at crazy speed with no video sync control. Well, surely DxWnd could fix this problem as well, but it didn't matter for the screenshot purpose.
Honestly, I don't know how much of the full game one may miss by running the mini-games individually, surely mounting the game on a Win98 VM it should be possible to find out.
