To run the game you nee to click in the .exe with the righ button and activate the compatibility mode and setup to Win98 compatibility then click on apply and the game should run normally, this apply to Carnivores 1 and Ice Age to.

how to get sound to work for the RIP version of the game: after you extract all the files into a new folder open the folder for Carnivores then right-click on the "HUNTSOFT" file then go to properties and the compatibility tab at the top and click the box to run in compatibility mode then set in to run in "Window 98/ Window ME" and it should work with sound. not a promise but it worked for me. hard to hunt dinos with no sound. hope this helps.

What in gods name is going on regarding this carnivores download? i remember downloading it some time ago and things being fine.Considering this.. im probably gonna avoid downloading it. but someone needs to bring it up to a larger site. this is an issue

Someone needs to pull this from the site and find a legit version to re-upload. The game is patched with terrifying screamers of people being murdered. Disturbing and scared the hell out of me with headphones on. The site is usually reliable, shocked this has stayed up so long given that others in the comments have experienced this as well. Scary stuff.

To get sound, right click on HUNTSOFT.EXE and select properties. Then in compatibility tab select windows 95 or windows 98.

I was able ot download and play the 3rd 68mb option but cannot get audio in either the menu or game. any suggestions? I ve uninstalled and retried. im on windows 10. I have tried the other 2 files (ISO and RIP) and cant get them to work at all. Thanks

Does the Patches work with the full game? I've read the Readme and it mentions only the Demo? If not can someone please upload the full versions 3DFX and D3D patch for these games or those do not exist?
