Had this game on an 8086, loved it then, play it on dosbox running on my android phone now, still cool.

So I got the Catacomb source to compile under DosBox, with Borland Turbo pascal 5.5 (now free, although had to scrounge around the web for TASM.EXE). It compiles without error and creates CATACOMB.EXE, but then when I run it, it gives the error File Not Found: SOUNDS.CAT, which I placed in the directory from the Catacombs demo. Has anyone else had any luck getting it to run from the source? I know the game will run under Dosbox, because the demo game does play fine.

I had this on a TANDY computer when I was young. I thought it was the coolest ever, so many hidden walls and stuff. I probably never made it very far though. Check it out!

One of the first games by John Carmack, and predecessor of Catacomb 3D
