Fudge 123 2024-12-18 0 point Atari 8-bit version

It must have been a great pitch to Fanda, here's a game about a guy whose uncle runs the post office(Amazon),and you have to pick up and deliver parcels while avoiding a dog,a zombie,an amorous girl and the boss himself.

It starts with a memo being typed by a secretary or something, then after its typed this pre amble you're off to your low paid, dangerous job in your uncle's post office.

they forgot to mention the plant pots that accidentally fall down the lift shafts of the huge tall and ever narrowing building every time you jump onto a lift, with no way to get off half the time, there's no stairs, but i suspect they're behind the doors that open all the time on each platform,as you toil up and down fighting not only the enemies, but also the sadistic programmers almost too tightly timed plant pots that seem to get more frequent as you go along.

The only problem with the whole gig is that the guy moves like a snail, lurching across to the pin narrow platforms and precarious lifts, the poodle that always appears no matter what you do is constantly there,as if they had to put it in otherwise it would be too easy.

The whole idea of the game wears thin around 30 minutes in,and if you ever get to the top after delivering all the parcels, which is very hard to do,it just starts again with a different colour scheme, and shooting things that catch you out,it's harder faster and even less fun that before,it's no fun really and this is with emulation where saving is a thing.

The clown esque music that mocks of the player as your 'hero' falls flat on his face yet again feels like it's all just a bit too much fun being had by the game designers,oh what a wheeze!

There's no real game in there and few ideas,no variety,no fun and it's just a bit boring and too much jumping about on lifts.
