I also didn't have voice acting in the game at first. But after installing the game, you can open the Setup file and choose Soundblaster for the sound effects (the default didn't work for me). Save settings and start up the game; and I had voices working.

Background music is working, but can't get the voice acting to come through. Playing in dos box. Any suggestions?

For the laundry room, you need to line up sets of three in a row in front of the door. If the colors are wrong she'll throw them away (ie, if it's taking a while to get three of the color you need, just put three others there to 'dump' them). Repeat the process for each color on her chart.

I think you have to use the arrows. I'm having a hard time with the dining room. Also, how do you get back to the 'main menu' to try a different scene?
