I used the full rip on windows 11 and it worked perfectly fine, you can use dgvoodoo2 to increase resolution, but I think the base aspect ration is 4:3 so anything widescreen will be slightly stretched.
As far as the game goes, the first few levels are pretty rough once the hilarity of the character model goes away. There is a suprising amount of weapon and enemy variety, though once you get the sniper crossbow, combat becomes easy.
The game does overstay it's welcome toward the end, but it was definitely the cutscenes that kept me going.
I'm a firm believer that you should play "bad games", and I feel like this would fall into that category.
