Hey, Desperate Fan. I've ran into the same issue, beginning late September, when the game attempts to progress from Friday to Saturday, the game stutters and then often crashes to desktop (sometimes it does not and advances). I've spent the last 2 days trying to track down the issue, mostly on the Russian forums. My preliminary findings indicate that the No-CD is the culprit, as I think it is for the unpatched version of Extra Time or it is flawed in some other way. The users of the Russian forums who were able to get Extra Time to work (some were into their 5th or 6th seasons with no crashing issues) did so via a disk image of the add-on with file extensions .mdf and .mds, and running daemon tools (ver. 4.08 or 4.09) and Y.A.S.U. (ver. 1.1 or 1.2). Links to the .mdf/.mds disk images are long dead, though. I did however, order the actual disk of the German Extra Time add-on off of eBay for approx. $17. I will make an attempt to create a disk image that can then be used to bypass SecuROM protection more reliably and then to contribute that to the admins of this site. If this happens, it would be no sooner than mid to late December. In the mean time, here are some work arounds for you to try:
0) Slog though it. Try saving on Fridays and try to advance, a chance that game does not crash exists.
1) Uninstall the game.
1.1) Re-install the game, omitting steps 2 and 4 of my earlier guide (Add-on includes the 1.1 patch for base game).
1.2) Try how the game behaves with the No-CD. Tell tale sign of problems are if your game crashes to desktop when opening the "Expand Stadium" menu. Make sure to also try staring a new game and advancing to Sep/Oct/Nov.
2) Also buy the disk on eBay. Search for "Fussball Manager 07" the add-on will have "VERLANGERUNG" written on the box art.

Hey, Exis10ce, thank you for the input! I managed to make it work, but the problem is the game always crashes somewhere around late October for me... is there a fix for this?

Good news guys, there is a relatively easy way to play Extra Time in English.
(1) Begin by installing FIFA Manager 07 with German language.
(1.1) Select "Beenden" at the end of the installation to quit the install without running the game.
(2) Install German version of v1.1 Patch for the base game and, optionally, the Database Update.
(3) Mount the Extra Time Add-On .iso from this page and install it over the German version of the base game.
(3.1) Select "Beenden" at the end of the installation to quit the install without running the game.
(4) Install the German version of v1.1 Extra Time Patch from this page.
(5) Download the NoCD from this page and place Manager07.exe in the game folder. (Copy the original Manager07.exe someplace else, just in case).
(6) Launch FUSSBALL MANAGE 07, to check if the game and the add-on were installed correctly and the the NoCD works. If the game launches, proceed to next step.
(7) Go to the game folder and open the "locale" config file using a text editor (e.g. notepad).
(8) Change the following lines of code:
"TEXT_LANGUAGE=ger" to "TEXT_LANGUAGE=eng"
"INSTALL_LANGUAGE=ger" to "INSTALL_LANGUAGE=eng"
"TEXT_LANGUAGE_OVERRIDE=ger" to "TEXT_LANGUAGE_OVERRIDE=eng"
(9) Save the file and enjoy!

I suppose there's no point in trying to change the language in the ini file, is there? I really hope there's a God and He brings us the English version
