Gone Fishin'
DOS - 1994
Description of Gone Fishin'
Arguably the best fishing simulation ever made, Gone Fishin' is a fresh-water fishing sim, and lets you try your luck on Lake Ontario’s Bay of Quinte.
You can catch everything from sunfish to walleye, and all fish go for the same lures as their real-life counterparts. The bait shop has many baits to try, and the old-timer has many tips to offer. The game is as good as it gets, with weather effects, very accurate feel, and relaxing gameplay-- just like real fishing. Go fish!

This game is broke. Even if you mount the Install files as a D CDROM drive, it still wont work. And as people below have mentioned, sometimes when you install the game the files are all 0 bytes.

In dosbox, I get an error saying that C is not a CDROM drive, and then the game doesn't work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

If someone could let me know how they got this program to run, it would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

I installed this game under Windows 10 (dosbox) and it still works. Outstanding fishing game :)

I actually own a boxed copy of this, one of the original prints! It's a fairly rare game to find indeed! And quite an enjoyable one at that!

This is great! Wow! My father Peter Zuuring developed this game when I was growing up as the founder of Amtex Software. I have many memories beta testing this game and sneaking into development meetings between the programmers, my father and the Izumi brothers that were the local fishing experts used for the game development in Belleville, ON, Canada. The original game came in a plastic fishing tackle box. Haha. If my father were still here he'd get a kick out of seeing people still enjoying the game.

Is this install bugged? After a "successful" full install, the installed files go to 0 bytes and subsequently fail to run. Has anyone had any luck running in DosBox? This remains the best fishing simulator I've ever played.

It says "You have failed to return to dock in time. You forfeit your trip and haul" every time you get to the shore at sunset! How disappointing!

I've installed both ways and neither way works. I either get zero size files or or data error #6. Is there a fix?
