How do i get the sound to work? I downloaded this game and used D-Fend to extract the files and shit and no matter what I do, I can't get the sound to work. It's a problem that's been frustrating me to no end.

I've decided to write a little guide that'll hopefully help you to run this game past that black screen.
Have you downloaded the game yet? Good! Let's begin..
1. Create a new folder and name it whatever you want. It's really not important what you call it, we'll just be doing all the magic inside it.
2. Now create a folder inside that folder and call it "IMMEEN". This is where we're going to extract the contents of the downloaded game. Yes, the name IS important this time.
3. Extract everything from "IM-Meen_DOS_EN.zip" into "IMMEEN". If I had to guess, the black screen was happening because the game was looking for a directory that didn't exist. Well? We've just managed to make it exist now.
4. We're gonna create a new .BAT file. Open up Notepad and copy the following code into it...
@echo off
CONFIG -set "render aspect=true"
config -set "cpu cycles=auto 7800 95%% limit 26800"
loadfix -25
cd IMMEEN
MEEN.BAT
cd..
@echo on
...and then click on Save As, go inside the root folder where "IMMEEN" is, and save the file as "IMMEEN.BAT". Don't forget to set "Save as type" to "All Files" before saving, or else you'll just have a normal text document and not a .bat file.
From now on, the bat file we've created will be how we install and play I. M. Meen. Drag and drop "IMMEEN.BAT" into a DOSBoX shortcut (or do things the old way). You'll be prompted to install the game as usual. Do that, and then you should have a fully-functioning version of the game :)
For the record, I got the code for the .bat file from a custom-made .bat file that came with a ready-installed demo version of the game. I could get that version of the game to work for me, but not the version downloaded here. I decided to investigate why, and thus I ended up creating this guide.

In the 3 years ever since I discovered this game for download, I have been unable to get this game running. I am dead serious, I went through 2 computers, and none of them could get it working. IM Meen has me beat.

I saw this on 'Lazy Game Reviews' (youtube.com/phreakindee) and thought I wanted to give it a go, don't know why because this game is bad compared to what there is now, but I wanted "a taste of edutainment games from the mid 90s"
