Notes:

• If the installation doesn't start - try to launch Setup.exe in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (98, 2000 or XP)
• It is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and NET Framework for the correct work of the game. Also it is recommended to install K-Lite Codec Pack for the correct work of in-game videos
• The game works on DirectX 9, so if you're using Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 - you need to enable DirectPlay: Go to Control Panel, and select 'Programs'. Select 'Turn Windows features on and off', click on 'Legacy Components' and check the box 'DirectPlay'. Select OK, once the installation is done, restart your computer
• The game works differently on different systems: on some systems it works with no issues, on others it has the very low framerate, like 5~10 FPS. If you use Windows 7 or Windows 8 - install DirectX that comes with the game (DirectX June 2010), it should help
• If you play on Windows 10 or 11, try this to fix the low framerate: run the game, wait till it loads; then open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del), find MH.exe process, right click on it and select "Analyse Wait Chain"; if there is anything on the list (e.g. nvcontainer.exe), select it and kill the process. Looks like it should help, check this thread
• For unknown reason, the missions in Iran are not presented in Russian version of the game. If you want to play them - install English version then install Russian translation patch, that patch has text translation for Iranian missions
• English and Polish versions are DRM-Free, simply install & play. Be careful, Russian version of the game is using StarForce DRM! It can ruin your PC, especially if you use 32-bit variant of Windows OS. Make sure to use NoDVD before the first launch of the game, to avoid the installation of StarForce DRM drivers!
• If the game doesn't work - try to launch it in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (Windows 98 or XP) and as administrator (right click on MH.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility)
