Description of Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares
Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares (aka 银河霸主II：安特雷斯之战, MOO 2, Master of Antares) is a video game published in 1996 on DOS by MicroProse Software, Inc.. It's a strategy game, set in a managerial, sci-fi / futuristic, turn-based, 4x, generated levels and turn-based strategy themes, and was also released on Windows and Mac.

How do you get it to work? There are no instructions. There is a .bin file that is 200mb. I run that and it says "unable to expand moo2 stuffit archives are not supported." What's stuffit? Really want to get this game working I loved it 20 years ago.

In response to DISAPPOINTEE's problem with the DMG error- Legacy Image Should Be Converted, open Disc Utility on the Mac and then select Images, then Convert from the task bar. Navigate to the .img file. You'll then be prompted to select a location to save the converted DMG. Note: If you haven't made it this far (and are still puzzled about the .sit file extracted when you downloaded the game, you'll need StuffIt Expander to extract the .sit file into the .img file. THEN, you'll convert the .img file as above.

I'm still playing the PC version. Best space strategy ever. Someone should update the graphics, but with the same style of play.

I when I was 14, my mom gave me a book. She thought it was another fantasy book I'd like to read. It was the manual for this game. Although it wasn't a book of entertainment, I read that huge manual front to back. It was the most fascinating game I had ever seen. I spent days trying to come up with the best custom race to make. I don't have a mac, nor plan on ever getting one, but I'm damn sure gonna figure out how to run it on my computer.

Truly great game, far FAR superior to MOO3. Probably the best turn based space strategy you'll ever find.

It was made for the PC as well. I still own an original copy of the game in fact.
