Back with more research. Turns out you have the floppy version of the expansion uploaded here. The CD version has a cutscene opening for the campaign and has voiceovers for briefings, much like the CD version of the base game. The floppy version of the expansion also has the annoying habit of disabling the video intro of the base game when installed onto the CD version and replacing them with slides. I don't know where you could find the CD version but it'd be nice to have.

Nevermind, you have to mount the folder with "-t cdrom" command otherwise the installer wont give you the install menu, presumably as a form of copy protection.
You could also rip the contents by making a folder called "ep" then typing the command "unchunk resource.000 ep", repeat with both resource.001 and .002 to get all the contents.

How do you install this thing? There's no "select prior installation directory" dialogue like the readme implies.
