Of course this game was meant as advertisment! The company is called "Osem" and the product that is advertised here is called "Bamba", a peanut snack. Osem is one of the largest food manufacturers in Israel and is owned 100% by Nestlé today. Bamba is still advertised with the same child to this day. Promotional video games were actually quite common in the 90s.
