Hello there, Has anyone run into all of the characters on the pirate island disappearing as you reach higher character levels in the game? I went there for a quest and the tavern keeper and all the other NPCs are gone. Anyone run into this?

the cd crack fix isn't working.. i've pasted it into the MODULES folder and overwritten the existing sea.dll and it still tells me to insert disc 1. any fixes?

To fix the issue concerning the laggy menus, without using Bandicam to limit the FPS is by visiting the PC Gaming Wiki for Pirates of the Caribbean and scroll down till you get to the "Vsync doesn't work on Windows 10 " section. There you will find that you can download modified "d3d8.dll" that you have to copy in the main game folder (this will make the Vsync work again and cap that frame rate)

guys this is easy to fix. in the downloaded games folder there will be a file called "sea.dll". after installation head to c:\program files(x86)/bethesda softworks\pirates of the carribean\modules copy and overwrite the sea.dll file. thats it. it will pass the new game screen.
for the install questions.
to mount a .bin/.cue is the same as iso. if your pc does not have the software to do so. i suggest virtual clone drive. its free

Hello everyone,
I got the game running which made me very happy. Unfortunately, I now have a problem with the saved game.
Short description:
- I save the game.
- Game is saved.
- Saved game is displayed in the menu.
- I want to load the save.
- Nothing happens.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason?

For people experiencing issue with the game crashing after you start a new game - download the 'Fix" and replace the dll file in the "MODULES" folder.

For everyone having issues in 2023, it's simple enough.
Download and install Daemon Tools, mount the "cds" and install. It was literally that simple for me at least.
For the bugs i personally used the New Horizons mod, which fixes most of them and also adds loads of new content to the game.

The two zips included for the "iso" files have cue and bin files, nothing for ISOs or anything

For anyone having issues with slow character turning and slowly navigating buy/sell menus;
I found a suggestion on a forum which stated you should download Bandicam and setting an FPS Limit with that, make sure to uncheck "Only when capturing".
I can't believe Bandicam of all things works as a fix but it did the trick for me (60 FPS worked for me, haven't tried higher or lower)

Sorry @Corrupt. Ive found no solution.
Ive attempted to run it as administrator in windows95 and win7 compatibility mode but nothing. Still, you could try. It has worked for me on other old games.

If your game exits try go to RESOURCE\Textures\WEATHER\SEA\BUMP_G3 and delete file bump.zap.

Hello
Whenever i access a "base chest" with my items on either the starting ship or just inside Oxford the game seems to go into an extreme slowdown, not completely frozen but i cant do anything.
I have downloaded the "Fixed sea.dll" and added it to the MODULES folder. Anytips?

Hey guys,i found a solution: download the fix (mirrored here)
extract copy and paste ito modules folder replace the file.
Now the game will work.

I played this game when I was a kid and wanted to redownload it and play it again so I started looking around. I was a dareing pirate when I started I immidiatly took over the biggest ship I could find in port and ran off fighting anyone I saw

The only good PoTC game. Because it really isn't a PoTC game. It's Sea Dogs 2 that was reskinned mid development because Disney wanted a game and the developers of Sea Dogs 2 wanted a publisher.
