@XAN got stuck trying to extract the WRS file. The blog you mentioned had a script to run in Quickbms for SoV but the script download link is blocked behind a google drive "requests access" button. Anywhere else that we can get this file or another way to get the game running in DOS box?

Heads up to anyone trying to run it on a modern computer via DOSBox, while you can use the VRUN.EXE to try to open the Start.WRS file, I was only able to get it to start up after extracting the WRS file (Look it up, there is a blogspot article specifically for SoV) and then specifying start.wrs and start.wdl. Hopefully that helps someone.

@Michael Powell You need to either run the game in DOS and limit the CPU cycles (I run mine at 5% for physics-related sections) or use a program like FRAPS to limit the frame-per-second you get to something like 30. Issues like this (as well as the poison pond and garbage river) are caused by the game running with an uncapped framerate with the physics and damage you take being tied to the framerate as well.

To fix the issues with broken jump height, slow firing speed, instant poison/acid death, and the rock issue in level 4, you need to run the game in dosbox and limit the cpu cycles. Game is tied to clockspeed which cant comprehend modern cpus.

Hi. In level 4 of Saints of Virtue, at “path to perseverance” the place where I push the rock from the high tower to topple the towers down, it cannot seem to work, all it does to move away from the tower instead of towards it to make it topple. Is there a way to fix it?
