Storm Across Europe
DOS - 1990
Also released on: Amiga - Commodore 64
Description of Storm Across Europe
In grognard M. Evan Brooks' opinion, this game is "... similar to the boardgame Hitler's War , except the computer interface was much more awkward. The graphics were primitive and the documentation somewhat sparse." Martin Scholz would later revisit the subject in 1993 and designed Clash of Steel, a much-needed improvement over this embarrassingly unplayable and frustrating game.

This was such an awesome game ! I used blietzkrieg tactics to fan out behind enemy lines.

Typing in "r-storm" in dos box allows you to type anything for the password without needing the right answers from the manual.

I remember sitting with my brother and playing this game, with a pile of snacks from Aldi and cola. -One sign of this being a proper strategy game, to me, is that if you attack a country like Poland without having mobilized reserves; you are getting minced.
Good times!
