For the game to play, you have to right click the .exe icon , choose "troubleshoot compatibility" and then "try recommended settings". Now press "Test the programm" and the game will work that way. But remember everytime you want to run it again, you have to follow the same procedure.

Can you please add the 2002 version too? That one is my childhood, but I lost my original copy of this a long time ago. I want to build a team with Dimitar Balabonov and Marco Bergani and build a stadium with bazillion capacity again :) Since it is not gonna be sold anywhere, myabandonware is my only hope of finding this gem.

The easy way to fix the Russian language error, is to delete the folder (rus), and duplicate the (eng) folder and rename the copy (rus).

Further to my comment below, it appears that the game is not compatible (as 32-bit) with more recent windows OS (as 64-bit).

If you have an OS which is 32-bit this may work for you. If not, consider installing a secondary OS through portioning your hard drive.

Hi all, I might be able to help... I'm getting the same problem as you all with the game being in Russian. If you only want to figure out how to get it to work, skip to the third section, lol.

I did a little digging. There's a SETUP.INI file included in the download which is a configuration file for the setup. Open it with Notepad and it'll tell you 'EnableLangDlg=Y', which means the setup SHOULD prompt you on which language you want to install with. The problem was that I didn't notice this because the setup process wasn't in English but in Question marks (so I presume in Cyrillic/Russian, and my PC couldn't display it?) Like, instead of words, it just displays "???????? ?????? ??? ????????? ? ??????" etc. etc. SO I didn't notice when I was prompted. But it's there.

To set the game up in English, get to the second page of the setup process. There should be two choices in a table, each of which can be highlighted: one that looks like "Aieeeneay aadney, 600 la" on top and one that looks like "Donneay aadney, 600 la" on the bottom. The TOP option is English ("Aiaeeeneay"). Bumble your way through the rest of the setup and you should be OK. I did, opened the game, and it's in English.

This MIGHT not work for you because your PC might show the Question marks differently.

Since there is no folder called "Install" I'm trying to copy the English folder to all different Setup folders. The folders respond immediately, by opening the game in Russian anyway!!!
There is probably something simple I am not seeing, but is there any way to change the settings to Russian? What I'm reading here doesn't work!

Copy the folders located in the (eng) folder to your install folder (say yes to replace). Then the game switches from russian to english :)
