Description of Total Carnage
Total Carnage is a near-flawless PC conversion of the sequel to Midway's arcade classic Smash TV!.
Although not as funny as Smash TV!, Total Carnage still packs a lot of humor and addictive thumb-blistering mayhem. The plot as simple as it gets for shooty games: up to two players can play as Captain Carnage and Major Mayhem, quirky heroes who must blast their way through the Baby Milk Factory to fight Orcus, the Mother of All Bosses. Along the way, they must collect keys to enter the aptly named Pleasure Domes and killed hundreds of baddies who stand in their way. Simply put, Total Carnage is top-down 360-degree shooting game at its best. The enemies never stop coming-you will find yourself surrounded by dozens of them at a time-and there are many special fun weapons and secret areas to find. The dual 8-way control scheme is very easy to use, and the graphics and animations are both top-notch. The bottom line is simple: Total Carnage is an excellent combination of fun, gore, explosions, fighting, outrageous weapons and a wonderful sense of humor that no arcade fan should be without. Two thumbs up, way up!

I remember when this came out on the PS2 on a game disk labeled "Midway Arcade Treasures" and my parents bought it for me and my brother because we had little to no games for the PS2 and they thought nothing too bad could possibly be on that disk, because the cover photo showed iconic classic games with no violent action. Fast forward a week, and I'm 5 or 6 years old in by bedroom playing TOTAL CARNAGE at midnight because its the coolest game on the disk... That was a priceless memory i nearly forgot entirely. I was too young for the game, but it was so pixelated and was so adult that i had no clue how bad it was, all i saw was that I could shoot enemies and it looked awesome. My parents later found out about total carnage when they had a go at playing the PS2 in their free time and took it away. That was a good decision, but DAMN, hearing that intro voice saying "TOTAL CARNAGE" brought me straight back!!
TL;DR I have fond memories of playing this game on my PS2 at midnight when I was way too young to be playing this.
