- U-Boat: Battle in the Mediterranean is an un-official addon for Silent Hunter III, it requires the installed Silent Hunter III with patch 1.4b, the patch is available inside the disc. To play without the disc, you can use NoCD for Silent Hunter III
- Russian version of the game can be installed only on Russian version of Silent Hunter III, check this thread for details
- Autorun in the disc of English & German version showed few generic warnings, but all installation files are clear, it is safe to use
