@(c°_}, this may merely be a tech demo, and one very extremely limited, but just from what I saw when I did play this, Fallout 3 as planned by Black Isle was going to be so much better than as done by Bethesda. Going to FPS style was only the very least of the problems brought by the transition. As good as final Fallout 3 was, it fell on a lot of storyline that was already being built into just this tech demo (that's pre-alpha, by the way!). A lot of rich storytelling that wasn't brought back in until New Vegas, which itself didn't get the care it really needed to be the extraordinary game it could.
By the way, story details which are not in this tech demo became a lot of what is Fallout New Vegas now, including the fight between the NCR and the Legion.

its.. its... Fallout 3. the original incarnation...!! i never thought id actually SEE it! OMG im getting chills
this is what Fallout 3 was supposed to be before the whole thing got tanked. they even had a vote on the website if people wanted a first person shooter or a 2d 3rd person view like the previous 2. it was overhwelmingly voted for the 3rd person version cos a first person game of fallout developed in 1998 99 wouldve looked and run like SHIT. omg this is the one!
