Description of 20,000 Leagues: The Adventure Continues
20,000 Leagues: The Adventure Continues was planned adventure game loosely based on "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" book by Jules Verne. The plot revolves around legendary Captain Nemo's submarine Nautilus that has been discovered in the Indian Ocean in 2008. The team of scientists get inside the ship to research it. You would play as Will Stewart, the marine biologist behind the dive team. Your crew would consist of Lisa Perettian, Larry Lockhart, and Stefan Wolffe.
Gameplay supposed to be puzzle-based, with moving around different locations, such as Atlantis, Malabar, Fiji, The Lost Island, and Nemo's Antarctic base. All in-game cutscenes were Full Motion Videos.
Originally the game was scheduled for release in 1999, as it is mentioned on preview CDs that was sent out to the press in 1998. That preview CDs included playable demo version which you can download from this page. Later the release was postponed for the Spring of 2000. In the end, the game stuck in development hell and was cancelled in 2000.
