Description of Aliens: The Computer Game
Aliens: The Computer Game is a video game published in 1986 on Commodore 64 by Electric Dreams Software, Activision, Inc., Alternative Software Ltd.. It's an action game, set in an arcade, flight, licensed title, puzzle elements and movies themes, and was also released on Amstrad CPC, Apple II and ZX Spectrum.

I was at a computer convention with my dad as a kid and they were demoing this game. I was hooked, went home with the game in hand. RIP Dad.

As Mike says, this is Aliens The Computer Game: US version released by Activision (1986). Its a decent game but the better version of Aliens: The Computer Game, on the C64/Spectrum, is by UK software house Electric Dreams (1987). The Electric Dreams version is much more suspenseful. This is also available on this great site.

Actually had this as “Aliens: US Version” In the Sinclair Spectrum. It was OK. But not as tense as the UK version.

This game was ambitious for it's time but didn't quite work playability wise. Although it did a good job of maintaining a sense of tenseness to keep you on your toes, if I remember correct. Or perhaps it was the otehr Alien game haha. I forget now.
