The Setup EXE file doesn't work for me nor does the PR (pet rescue) EXE file. I am using windows 11.
These are the messages when trying to use the PR.exe file:
Barbie(R) Pet Rescue
"Installation error! Please reinstall the program from the CD."
"Please insert the CDROM and press OK, or press Cancel to quit."
"This program will run best in 16-bit color.
Please adjust your display settings before running the program."
and then after those popups, it just doesn't work.

I was able to get this game to run decently (correct colors, no crash upon scooter) by running it in a Windows 98 VirtualBox VM.

I know what you're talking about, it has happened to some other games too, I think it only happens when you exit out of the game/minimize it and re-enter it. No idea why they do this but they do apparently.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, whenever I try to load the game the aspect ratio is messed up and the screen only displays green and purple. Is this just a problem on my end or is the download just like this?
